FINMA
The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) is the independent authority that supervises banks, insurers, exchanges, financial institutions and collective investment schemes in Switzerland.
It grants the licences provided for by the Banking Act and FinIA and publishes the list of authorised institutions. That public list is the basis of this directory: a provider is only listed if it appears in a FINMA register.
Banks and securities firms are supervised by FINMA directly; portfolio managers and trustees by a supervisory organisation authorised by FINMA.
