Succession planning
Succession planning organises in advance how wealth is passed on: will, inheritance agreement, marital property regime, gifts, structures (company, foundation, trust) and choice of law for international families. Swiss inheritance law protects some heirs with a compulsory share. It is the work of notaries, lawyers and tax advisers; the wealth manager often coordinates the financial side.
