Family office

A family office manages the financial affairs of one family (single-family office) or several families (multi-family office): investments, coordination of banks and advisers, succession planning, administration.

In Switzerland, a multi-family office managing third-party assets generally needs a FINMA licence as a portfolio manager. A structure that only manages the assets of people with whom it has close family or economic ties is in principle not subject to a licence. This directory only lists structures that appear in a FINMA register.
