Trustee

The trustee holds and administers the assets of a trust for its beneficiaries, as set out in the trust deed. Swiss law has no trust of its own, but Switzerland recognises trusts set up under foreign law since it ratified the Hague Trust Convention.

Under FinIA, professional trustees active in Switzerland must be licensed by FINMA and are supervised by a supervisory organisation.
