Retrocession
A retrocession is compensation that a provider receives from third parties (fund providers, banks) in connection with services provided to a client.
Under FinSA, the provider may only keep it if it informed the client beforehand and the client expressly waived it; otherwise it must be passed on to the client. Swiss Federal Supreme Court case law already pointed that way for management mandates.
