Suitability test
Before portfolio management or advice covering the whole portfolio, FinSA requires the provider to check that the service is suitable: it asks about the client's financial situation, investment objectives, knowledge and experience. For advice on single transactions it checks appropriateness (knowledge and experience). Professional and institutional clients are partly exempt.
